Frequently Asked Questions about Project Life

What is Project Life?

Project Life is a type of album that allows you to organize your printed photos and easily add notes and other items in a fun way.  You can either get a binder + pocket pages or a mini album.  Then add a Project Life Core Kit which includes title cards, prompt cards, journal cards, filler cards and more in 3 x 4 and 4 x 6 sizes.

How did you get started?

I got started with Project Life because I wanted to do a memory book for my new baby but I couldn’t find one that wasn’t too cutesy. Everything on the market was in pastel and baby colors and had all these weird baby designs.  I wanted something that looked more modern.

I wanted to be able to add more pages and be able to incorporate more photos so I didn’t have to do a separate memory book and photo album. I also wanted the album to be the exact height and width of my wedding album (which I also wanted to do) so it would line up nicely on the shelf. When I discovered Project Life, it had everything I needed and more.

What are you currently working on?

I just finished 3 (nearly) identical brag books for the grandparents.  I am currently doing a baby album and a wedding album at the same time.  I am also planning to go back and do the first 6 years of our marriage later on.

Why are you doing Project Life?

I literally have hundreds of thousands of photos in my archives.   Most of them are for clients but some of them are personal.  Because I work with so many photos, I very rarely print our own personal photos because I didn’t have the time.  After our baby was born, I realized that I needed to start doing memory keeping for our family.  Since I was doing my baby’s album anyway, I might as well catch up to our wedding album and our first 6 years of marriage too.  So, in short, I am waaaaaayyy behind.

I read somewhere that one of the secrets to happiness is looking back on the good things in your life and being appreciative and thankful for all the blessings that life has to offer.  Project Life is a good way to reinforce to myself and to my family all the good times we’ve had. Now, I have made this one of my priorities because if I don’t do this, no one else in my family would.
